Information and Innovation law – Methodological Issues
Objective
The course is aimed at PhD-students at Danish or international universities in the fields of IPR, data protection law, media law and adjacent legal areas.
The course is based on the basic idea that the legal fields covered by the terms “Information and Innovation Law” represent a number of common challenges and that interdisciplinary studies can lead to valuable insights. On this basis the course encourages discussions of general issues as seen from different legal perspectives.
The course will be instructed by professors from CIIR in collaboration with Professor Martin Senftleben from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
Learning outcomes
- to demonstrate the ability to identify legal problems
- to demonstrate an understanding of cross-disciplinary methodologies and techniques

Of note
Each participating PhD-student will be required to submit a short paper (1page pr. topic) where the student reflects over the three topics on the basis of the required reading and the special issues which arise in their own project.
These papers should be submitted on 18 November 2016 at the latest to phd@jur.ku.dk
Preparation
There will be reading material to prepare and in addition each participant shall present his or her own project.
