As part of the 41st Nordic Conference on Law and IT, and following long-standing tradition, a PhD workshop will be held the day before the main conference, on 21 October 2026. The Centre of Law, AI and Robotics (CLAIR) at the University of Southern Denmark is pleased to host this year’s workshop. Participation is free of charge.

Call for abstracts and registration

We invite PhD candidates enrolled at Nordic universities whose research engages with topics at the intersection of law and technology to submit an abstract of up to 500 words. Submissions may relate to the PhD project as a whole or to a specific part of the research.

Each participant will have 20 minutes to present their work, followed by 10 minutes of comments from an assigned commentator and open discussion with peers. The aim is to encourage discussion rather than polished presentations. Contributions may be delivered in English or, where relevant, in one of the Nordic languages.

Please send your project description to juon@sam.sdu.dk by 14 October 2026.

Any special dietary requirements for the lunch should also be sent to juon@sam.sdu.dk no later than 10 October 2026.

Registration

To register for the PhD workshop, please send an e-mail to juon@sam.sdu.dk no later than 1 October 2026. Please note that places are limited to approximately 25 participants, and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis

The 41st Nordic Conference on Law and IT takes place on 22–23 October 2026. A separate programme and registration form for the main conference will be published shortly.
