The PhD School and CRS - Centre for Studies in Legal Culture invite all PhD students within the discipline of jurisprudence to a course on

Law and Humanities

Law and Humanities is a popular discipline in the US and also at many European Universities. A course on Law and Humanities gives an introduction to other scientific methods and thus is an important tool for PhD students who want to broaden their horizons and also need or want to work with topics and literature from other disciplines. This course takes advantage of the presence in Copenhagen of a leading figure within law and literature, prof. Richard Weisberg, Cardozo law School, NY and thus will give an updated information on what is going on in the area. Law and Literature is of direct relevance to lawyers who work with texts. In the course, different aspects of law will be treated, and several  examples will be given of both law in and law as literature. Themes and methods from other parts of Law and Humanities such as Law and History and Law and Art will also be touched upon. The course is aimed at lawyers but may also be interesting for students of the humanities who want some insight into the work of lawyers and take an interest in the combination and interplay between the different disciplines.

The purpose of this course is to strengthen the methodological insights and the abilities of the PhD students to handle material from other disciplines and to work together with students of other disciplines basing the cooperation on knowledge of different methodological approaches.
