The PhD School and CIIR and CEBIL invite all PhD students within the discipline of jurisprudence to a course on

Information and Innovation law – Methodological Issues

The course is aimed at Danish and international Ph.D.-students in the fields of IPR, data protection law, media law and adjacent legal areas. Also post.docs. and other junior researchers are welcome.

The course is based on the basic idea that the legal fields covered by the terms “Information and Innovation Law” represent a number of common challenges and that interdisciplinary studies can lead to valuable insights. On this basis the course encourages discussions of general issues as seen from different legal perspectives.

The course will be instructed by professors from CIIR and CeBIL in collaboration with Professor Dan Burk from UC Irvine.

Learning outcomes:

  • to demonstrate the ability to identify legal problems
  • to demonstrate an understanding of cross-disciplinary methodologies and techniques
