The PhD School and Centre for Enterprise Liability (CEVIA) invite all PhD students within the discipline of jurisprudence to a course on
Collaborative contracts and knowledge sharing
Today, businesses to a large extent enter into contractually based collaborations with each other to create flexible structures for innovation and production. Collaborative elements play an important role in e.g. supply chains, construction projects, franchise systems and research units. However, collaboration and knowledge sharing fundamentally contradicts the idea of clear cut ownership, performance, risk and liability, which form the basis for classical private law and other closely related legal disciplines.
The purpose of this course is to identify and elaborate on legal aspects of collaborative contracts and knowledge sharing as such legal relations today represent a major investment potential, however at the same time entail considerable legal risks. The course is aimed at PhD students with an interest in e.g. tort and contract law, in intellectual property law, public procurement law, civil procedure and administrative law.
